Do you issue a certificate?
Yes. A NACS Certificate of Chimney Sweeping is issued on completion of every sweep. This is required by most home insurers for solid fuel appliances.
How often should I have my chimney swept?
At least once a year for occasional use. Quarterly if your stove or open fire is in constant use through winter. Annual sweeping is a home insurance requirement for solid fuel appliances.
Do you sweep gas fires?
Yes. We sweep gas fuel effect (GFE) appliances and carry out smoke draw tests on gas fires as part of our inspection service. We also work alongside Gas Safe engineers on new gas fire installations.
Can you sweep a chimney before a new gas fire is installed?
